Specifying Works on Historic Buildings: Conservation Approaches

A one-day course designed to introduce those interested in the maintenance of heritage assets to the specification of works on historic buildings. It will examine why specification software and frameworks for modern buildings are inappropriate for conservation work, introduce conservation philosophy as an approach to repair, maintenance and retrofit, and examine what the traditional materials pallet is.
