Day Conference: The Forests of Essex

This day conference, held in memory of Oliver Rackham, will explore the cultural and natural heritage of the forests of Essex, and issues of the understanding and future management of trees, woods and forests in the county. The conference will include a keynote session by author and historic landscape specialist Professor Tom Williamson, who heads up the Landscape Group within the School of History at the UEA, and contributions from Charles Watkins, author and professor of rural geography at the University of Nottingham, as well as a range of national and local experts.
