Growth in the sector

BuildingConservation.com received 32% more visitors in the first quarter of 2015 than in the same period of 2014.

The monthly average January-March 2015 was over 81,000 unique visitors, compared with 62,000 for the same period in 2013.

These record figures follow a steady increase in traffic over the last 18 months. The average for 2014 was 70,000 unique visitors per month, 22,000 more than 2013.

As most visitors come directly to this website (thus independently of search-engine algorithms), the increase is a strong indicator of sustained growth in the conservation sector.

BuildingConservation.com received 77,000 visitors in April 2015,
generating 1.7 million hits.

Pivotal information resource with a worldwide audience

The latest visitor statistics confirm BuildingConservation.com's position as a national and global hub for conservation resources and information. Two out of every three visitors now arrive at the site directly, without first visiting another site or search engine. Both groups have increased substantially, but the greatest increase is in those who have bookmarked the site. (If you are one of them, welcome!)

The trans-national distribution of visitors from the top 10 countries (by hit rate) remains broadly the same as in 2014, with about half of these hits coming from UK visitors (52%), and with US and Canadian visitors contributing the second largest proportion (34%). The figures shown below are for April 2015.
